Shaun Wood

Managing Director

Shaun completed his apprenticeship at Energy Services some 15 odd years ago and thereafter progressed through the ranks to take over the business from his old man, Ken. Shaun has worked hard to build a fun work environment at Energy Services where each staff member feels valued and part of the team. This has ensured Energy Services has had very low staff turnover, which has enabled a pathway for growth. Shaun is a highly effective leader in complex and competitive business environments with proven abilities in understanding all of the organisation’s markets, environments, and differing business needs. Skilled in disseminating the business complexities to others and engaging direct and non-direct reports to successfully execute goals and strategies. Outside of work Shaun loves having a beer and spending time with his family in the caravan or at the Batch with a fishing rod in hand.

Mark Gundersen

General Manager

With more than 20 years of experience in the electrical industry, Mark’s skillset and in-depth exposure to all types of construction have seen him work on a variety of projects throughout New Zealand. Mark adopts a consultative approach to business, shaping the work environment, setting strategy, allocating resources, developing managers, building the organisation, and overseeing operations. His approachable and practical manner provides a strong base for our teams and superior outcomes for our clients. Mark loves to get out in the bush with his kids, taking the caravan away on the ultimate Kiwi holiday and getting out for a fish whenever he can. He’s not too bad on the BBQ either!!

Sheree O'Dwyer

Office Manager

Sheree O'Dwyer is an experienced office manager with over 10 years of experience with Energy Services. Sheree's strengths in managing office operations, supporting staff, and collaborating with teams are evident in her work history. She excels at creating processes that streamline workflow and promote efficiency. Her attention to detail and organised approach have enabled her to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines. In her spare time, Sheree is an active member of Tauranga LandSAR; she loves her fitness and regularly gets out in the bush hiking, and she is also the best friend to our furry friends looking for a forever home.

Martin Cox

Senior Project Manager

Martin is responsible for leading the team in all facets of commercial electrical projects. Martin began his electrical career in the UK in the late 90s, where he worked as a fully qualified electrician. Joining the Energy Services team in 2014, he soon demonstrated his high standards while developing into a natural team leader and prides himself on being able to motivate his team to complete projects in a professional and timely manner. Martin has accumulated significant knowledge and experience in the electrical and building industry and has developed strong relationships with our partners within the industry. In his spare time, Martin enjoys fishing, surfing, and travelling in his campervan.

Steven Collins (Patrick)

Project Manager

Patrick came to Energy Services after a 25+ year career in the data and fibre telecommunications industry. Patrick has worked with us from senior apprentice to electrician and now project manager for residential, renovation, and commercial buildings. Patrick specialises in the data and communications projects, from fibre reticulation and splicing to Ministry of Education (MOE) data upgrades. Working throughout most schools locally and in the nearby vicinity. He is a keen, calm, and very respected member of our team. Regularly taking the time with the young guys to train and upskill them in their trade.

Dion Wylie

HVAC Project Manager

Dion started with Energy Services back in 2017 as our first qualified refrigeration engineer. He quickly established himself as a hard worker who gets the job done on time every time. Dion’s easy-going personality makes him popular with staff, customers, and suppliers. He is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best outcomes. In his spare time you will find Dion bobbing in the ocean having a fish or in the bush having a hunt with his mates. He regularly shows up in the office on a Monday with a new type of meat to cook for everyone and oddly prefers to eat squid over snapper.

Andrew Stockman

HVAC Sales Manager

Andrew is our highly experienced HVAC salesman who joined our team in 2015. Andrew has a background in sales with a keen eye for detail; he utilises a friendly, customer-oriented approach and takes pride in providing an unbiased, multi-branded solution for the customer. He has a wealth of knowledge with all the latest air conditioning, heating, ventilation products, and technologies.
